The Gift

The Crane Dog (2010)

Due to insistent demand, Teatro Akebono restaged the musical play The CraneDog, penned by Michiko Yamamoto, in 2010. The CraneDog is the story of many Japanese-Filipino children. It is about a person’s search for his true self, for his identity. It is also about family.

In May 2010, the play was presented in the following places: St. Scholatica’s College in Manila on May 11; Urawa Catholic Church in Saitama on May 14; Shinanoki in Nagano on May 16; Numata in Gunma on May 17; Yokohama National University on May 18; Nagoya University on May 21; Osaka University on May 25; and, Kasuga-Higashi Elementary School in Fukuoka on May 28”.
